April is Arab American Heritage Month
Every April, the U.S. and the North High Library honor the culture and history of Arab Americans. For centuries, Arab Americans have embraced working hard, giving back, and cultivating friendship and community--helping shape this country's history and build its future. Celebrate this month with books by and about Arab American individuals!
Also in April...
The U.S. and the North High Library also recognize April as Autism Acceptance Month and Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month.
For a list of recommended books on these important topics, visit the Books page of the library's website.

Library Closures
Because of special events and AP testing, the library will be closed part or all of many days in the upcoming weeks. Please see those dates below so that you can plan ahead and please pay attention to signage in front of the library, which will clearly announce when it is closed.
Even when you can't come in the library, we can usually help you at the textbook window. Don't be afraid to stop and ring the bell, and don't forget that computers and a printer are available in the College & Career Center (room K1).
4/14: Closed at lunch for meeting.
4/17-25: Open for quick business only during Celebration of the Arts. This means you can use the computers and printer, and check books in and out, but the tables and chairs won't be available for hanging out.
4/26: Closed all day for testing.
4/28: Closed at lunch for Key Club event.
5/1-5/12: The library will mostly be closed during this time due to AP testing. If signs say "closed," please do not come in. You can void the test of every person in the room if you enter. That means a lot of angry Saxons!
Book Swap
Bring a favorite book you're willing to part with and trade it for a new read at the swap outside the library on Friday, 4/21!
Return Your Books
This week, Celebration of the Arts kicks off North's end-of-year festivities. If you still have books from the 21/22 school year or before, you won't be able to purchase tickets to many of these exciting events--or even pick up your yearbook.
Please review your library record and start to take care of this task now, before you miss out on any of the fun!
